Your Questions, Answered
We understand this kind of experience can raise questions — especially if it's your first time. Here are the ones we hear most. If yours isn't answered here, get in touch.
Before You Attend
Absolutely. The day is designed to meet you where you are. Many of our participants are attending for the first time, and the structure is specifically built to support that.
The morning workshop builds trust and connection gradually, so by the time the erotic space opens in the afternoon, you feel grounded and prepared. Your facilitators are experienced in holding space for people at every stage of their journey.
No. The day begins with structured workshops focused on embodiment, desire, and consent. The erotic space later grows naturally from that foundation. This is a facilitated, therapeutic experience — not a free-for-all.
The structure is what makes Erotic Gateway different: you arrive as a whole person, not just a body. The workshop practices help you develop presence, clarity, and self-trust before any erotic exploration begins.
No. While held by experienced therapists and facilitators, this is an experiential space for embodied connection and erotic exploration. It contains therapeutic elements — body awareness, emotional regulation, consent practice — but it is not a therapy group.
If you're currently in therapy, this work can complement it beautifully. If you have specific mental health concerns, we're happy to discuss suitability in advance.
That's completely natural — and honestly, most people feel some nervousness before their first workshop. The structure of the day is designed to help you arrive in your body, build trust, and let connection unfold gradually.
If you are new to this type of work, you will feel well supported. Your facilitators are trained to recognise and respond to nervous system states with care and skill.
On the Day
No. Everything is invitational. You choose how — and whether — you engage. Your desire sets the pace. There is no pressure to participate in anything you're not comfortable with.
There may be nudity in the erotic space during the afternoon. You'll be carefully guided throughout the day, moving step by step. You decide your level of exposure, touch, and exploration.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is required. The morning workshop helps you clarify your own boundaries so you can move into the afternoon with clarity and confidence.
You're welcome to observe. Witnessing is a valid and valuable form of participation. Many people find that simply being in the space — feeling the energy, watching connection happen with care — is a powerful experience in itself.
You can engage, observe, or take space as needed. Your "no" carries equal weight to your "yes."
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Bring a water bottle, a towel, and any personal items you might need for the day. Refreshments are provided throughout.
We'll share a detailed preparation guide by email after you book, covering everything you need to know about the day.
Boundaries & Consent
Clear verbal consent is required for all touch and interaction. "No" is respected immediately and without question. We prioritise mutual desire, clarity, and care.
The consent framework is introduced and actively practised during the morning workshop, so it becomes embodied — not just a set of rules, but a way of relating.
Your safety — emotional and physical — is our highest priority. Both facilitators are trained in trauma-informed practice and are present throughout the entire day.
Boundaries are actively discussed, practised, and respected. A quiet space is available if you need to step away at any point. The emphasis is always on safety, humanity, and genuine connection.
Practical & Booking
Soma Home has accessible toilets and a designated quiet space for anyone who needs to step away during the day. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can ensure you're fully supported.
As this event may include male-to-male erotic interaction, we ask any trans men interested in attending to contact us in advance so we can ensure clarity and suitability for everyone involved. We welcome this conversation.
